About Zoe

Zoe Weston is a social and cultural anthropologist and has been promoting peace through her prenatal classes and workshops (now available as an online home study course).

Zoe believes that taking care of and nurturing pregnant women is a crucial step toward world peace. She is a HypnoBirthing practitioner and childbirth educator, a Wholebirth prenatal yoga instructor, and a DONA trained doula.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii in Anthropology with minors in Religion and Art History. She has also trained with Louise Diamond in the “Fundamentals of Peacebuilding”.

A scholar by nature, Zoe stays continuously informed, educated, and updated about what is going on within the birth community. Spreading this information is her passion.

Before she did prenatal work she was a professional lecturer. She has taught and lectured to all ages - 5 to 85, and on a variety of subjects under the theme of culture and art history including - Hawaiian, Islamic, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Greek, Roman and Filipino. She has developed and performed such lectures for the following institutions: the Japanese Cultural Center- Honolulu, - for Americorps, the Honolulu Academy of Arts and the Doris Duke Foundation at Shangri-la.

My husband's hair, his smile, the sparkle in his eyes when he looks at me and his genuine heart, unicorns, horses, dolphins, cats, owls and falcons, the ocean, waterfalls, wine, castles, libraries and book stores, pâté, ice skating, espressos, French bread, indie films, eating Moroccan style, chants of all kinds- especially Hildegard of Bingen, speaking in Italian, The Doors, Celtic knots, Gerard Way, Aubrey Beardsley, 60's mod style, Tom Robbins books, medieval architecture and fashion, falconry, making eggs benedict for my husband, Cary Grant, chatting with the girls, meditating in Buddhist temples, Fred and Ginger, clubbing, photographing people, animals and castles, swimming with dolphins, Goth music, listening to the Rio album by Duran Duran while getting ready to go out on the weekend, getting manicures with my mom, Blake, Thai food, the soundtrack to Zorba the Greek, Maya Angelou, braiding my girlfriends hair, making people laugh, Pablo Picasso and Neruda, seeing my little brother grow up, anything Bond, James Bond, stargazing, skinny dipping in hot springs, looking at a full moon with my husband, sailing - if I don't actually have to sail, political poetry and music, Dune, Star Wars, X-files, black truffles, hearing my dad tell a joke, going to the opera, Oprah, Cognac, movie popcorn, getting massages and facials, making my famous chocolate almond cake for my friend's and family's birthday, belly dancing, Coca Cola on the rocks, discussing the paranormal and esoterica, Johnny Depp, hiking in the rain forest, dim sum, Hasan Fathy architecture, flying in first class, Ricard on ice with peanuts, shopping at gourmet food and wine stores, having afternoon tea with my mom, Latin dancing, my dad's laugh, maps and globes, world-beat music, My Chemical Romance , Champagne, my brother's sense of humor and mutant sound effects, tacos, and Sunshine.
